About This Course
Kit Overview
This course teaches you the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This course applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. You will be taught how to respond to an emergency situation, perform CPR procedures, and communicate details of an incident to emergency personnel.

Course Requirements
Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations, such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor and performing rescue breathing techniques on manikins.
Online study: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies.
Course Certification
On successful completion of this lesson you will be awarded the following certificates as a digital copy.
Course Delivery
1 hour of self-paced learning to be completed prior to attending a 20 minute(minimum) face to face assessment.
Course Syllabus
Performance tasks and practical scenarios:
- Perform CPR on an adult (incl. the use of an AED and placing a casualty into the recovery position).
- Perform CPR on an infant.
- Theory assessment: A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.
Course Repeat Timeframes
Total First Aid Solutions recommends an annual refresher on this course.
